Our Realizing that the family is the basic
societal unit from which all governance flows, Holy Family encourages the
development of strong interpersonal relationships, desiring to help foster
bonds that nurture adolescent growth.
Only within such a support system can we hope to attain our goal of
developing a strong Catholic woman of character.
Because we are a Catholic school, we
strive to help the student develop all the areas of her life within the
framework of the Church’s teaching.
Throughout the curriculum, including community service, the student
incorporates Catholic values and principles of social justice into everyday
living. She is provided with planning
and participatory experience in prayer, ritual, and the sharing of faith. We believe that the intellectual growth
of the student complements her growth in faith. The curriculum aims to expose the student
to the broad spectrum of human achievement, and to encourage the development
of critical thinking. We offer a
diversified course of study to provide for individual goals, abilities, and
interests. The flexibility of this
program prepares a student for admission to a university or to a community
college and/or allows her to develop her business/career skills. We believe that interpersonal
communication, development of sensitivity toward others, and an understanding
and appreciation of diverse cultures are part of a student’s growth. We believe that the Holy Family
community is unique. Students from
various ethnic backgrounds come together to share knowledge, culture, and
experience, thus opening up a world of options and challenges and making a
difference in the quality of life of each girl. The faculty endeavors to provide adult
models of Catholic living, helping each student to appreciate herself, to
recognize her own value and worth, and to realize her own talents. Through personal guidance we help the
student to cope with external demands, tensions, frustrations, and to develop
a realistic self-image. In this way, |
